Biography

Giovanni is a world-class throttleman, a multiple World and European Champion and will mark his 50th UIM Class 1 Grand Prix start at the 2023 season-opener.

He made his racing debut in Class 3 in1991, winning the Italian [Class 3] six litre championship the following year and going on to claim titles in both two and four litre categories. He enjoyed further international success in six litre, winning the World and European XCat title in 2009 and again last year.

In 2010 he stepped up into Class 1 winning his first Grand Prix in 2014. He added a further five victories, 21 podium finishes and achieved seven top three world championship finishes.

He won his first APBA world title in 2003 and has competed in ProVee and Powerboat P1, finishing second in P1 Evolution in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, winning the title in 2009.
