Darren is one of the few sportsmen to switch over from sail power to horsepower. He is a multiple AUS 1 Championship winner in the Australian Offshore Superboat Championships. He has more wins than any Australian in the UIM Class One Championship in Europe & the Middle East with 2 wins & several podium finishes. He won the 'Lion of the Sea' endurance race, Europe's oldest powerboat race from Venice to Monte Carlo, over 1,400 nautical miles.
He also was a second-place winner in 2 rounds of the New Zealand Offshore Powerboat Championships. Darren has also won Multiple National Championships.
