Biography

A veteran racer and successful entrepreneur who founded Marine Concepts, a leading designer and manufacturer of custom boat cover systems in 2005, and team manager, Randy has a wealth of racing experience behind him and is highly respected in powerboat and racing circles.

He worked his way through the racing ranks, in the early 90s with RIVA Yamaha in the novice class then doing a three-year stint in the IJSBA unlimited class and finishing fourth in the world in 1995. Following spells in PRO MOD and Top Fuels he moved up to Formula Atlantic and raced a Ralt RT41.

In 2006 he rebuilt, rerigged the first of four MTI's he has owned and raced the Supercat Light series with OSS alongside throttleman Reggie Fountain III, winning the world championships in their first year.

From 2014 to 2017 he raced in the unlimited class alongside Chris Hanley, again in an MTI, before stepping away to pursue other interests, more recently taking possession of a BMW Cup Car to compete in series in Miami and becoming XINSURANCE / Good Boy Vodka team manager at the back end of 2022, this year fulfilling a longstanding ambition to race in Class 1.
