Peter 'Muddy' McGrath is a name well known in the sport of Offshore Powerboat Racing, with many international and national titles and records to his name. Peter is the Crew Chief for 222 Offshore.
Born in New Zealand, Peter, a former car racer and a builder of high-performance engines, has raced both V-hull and catamarans in Class 2, winning the New Zealand Class 1 and Class 2 Championships and the Australasian Class 1 title twice under the New Zealand flag. He is renowned as both a driver and throttleman and has competed in UIM Class One series for many years.
Peter raced at Clearwater 2022, stepping in for Darren as driver, and won with Giovanni Carpitella on throttles.
