Pål Virik is an experienced driver and throttleman who has risen through the ranks to earn a reputation as a formidable competitor winning multiple UIM titles at National, European and World level.
He has competed in over 300 races in a 31-year career in circuit and offshore classes; he made his powerboat debut in 1992 in T-400 circuit racing and has raced in a variety of series including V-25, S-550, Formula 1, 2 ,3 and 4 - winning the World and European Formula 4 titles in 1998 - Class 3,1.3 and 2litre, P1 and XCat.
He made his Class 1 debut in 2005 and in 2007 switched roles from driver to throttleman to form the youngest partnership in Class 1 alongside Tom Barry-Cotter taking three podiums and going on to win a hat-trick of titles in the Australian Offshore Superboat Championship.
In 2009 he won the Norwegian Motorsport personality of the year.
