A two-time winner of the Harmsworth Trophy and record six-time winner of the famed Cowes-Torquay-Cowes classic, Miles is arguably one of the sport's most accomplished, flamboyant, and colourful characters.
Making his racing debut in 1977, two days after his sixteenth birthday, Miles has gone on to claim a raft of titles, including the UIM Class 1 European Championship, six Endurance World Championships, three Class 2 European Championships and 12 British Championships.
An ever-present and dominant force on the UK powerboat scene since winning the first of four Class 3 titles in the eighties, his first in 1982, Miles is unbeaten in six outings in the last two years, winning two Round the Islands and events in Poole, Hamble, Falmouth and Cowes.
He made his Class 1 debut at the Grand Prix of Sanya, China in 2013 then grabbing a podium in Turkey followed by a win in Italy to lift the European title. He has five podiums from 18 starts and a clutch of podium finishes on the USA APBA tour.
